One of the requisites to study a degree in Audiovisual Comunicaction is correct spelling and mastering the rules of Spanish. This subject will reinforce therefore writing, through the development of skills to detect and correct mistakes. Basic skills for a career whose mastery of written language is one of its key factors.
To do so, students will be provided with tools to work and consolidate the basics of writing and the rules of Catalan and Spanish, both in lectures and in personalised correction practices.
The subject, Spelling Zero for Communication Studies aims to colsolidate correct writing skills from the student. The communicator must be able to capture, understand and grasp the reality that surrounds him to transmit it properly. The excellence of this process is correct spelling, not only in content but also of spelling and syntax. Writing reflects the education and knowledge of the writer and it undoubtedly becomes a sign of identity of the person. The requirement of correct spelling is a responsibility to oneself, to the profession and, of course, to the public.
Therefore, the purpose of this subject is not just that students write correctly, but that they are able to adopt an attitude that allows them to function autonomously as a content editor, and to provide the respect of readers.
Students are required to have prior knowledge of Spanish.
This subject reviews the basic contents of spelling and rules of Spanish to achieve the desired quality of writing in the degree of Communication Studies.
