Introduction

In the event that the health authorities announce a new period of confinement due to the evolution of the health crisis caused by COVID-19, the teaching staff will promptly communicate how this may effect the teaching methodologies and activities as well as the assessment.

About this subject:

  • The teacher conducts basic ideas which put into practice through exercises and reinforced with some supporting files that summarize what you need to know.
  • The exercises are repeated constantly and the level of demand will crescendo. Everything is a progressive training.
  • All sessions are fully taught using the English language. The teacher provides synonims or short translations if necessary.
  • Knowledge of Media Training is imparted on the set of TV.
  • Part of the sessions takes place in the computer room.
  • Students are asked to be always provided of pendrive, headphones, blank paper and pen. Ideally also laptop or tablet.

Syllabus

  1. Techniques and exercises to better express orally. Emphasis on breathing techniques. How to improve diction.
  2. The art of summarizing: deconstruction, keywords and prioritization of ideas + development of the internal clock.
  3. Resources for attention and convincing an audience. The non-verbal languaje.
  4. Techniques to speak to a radio microphone and a TV camera.
  5. Techniques for making speeches. Improvisation techniques.
  6. Analysis of models of social and political oratory.
  7. How convincing gatherings and conferences. Making the role of presenter/moderator.
  8. Techniques for generating ideas and improve our messages.
  9. Spokesman techniques: the statement, interview and press conference.
  10. The spokesman in crisis situations.
