Exercises and practices will be presented by computer work, except for those prepared in class.
If the student, for some reason, has difficulties for attending the classes, he/she should advise professors to look for a solution.
Attendance is compulsory.
This subject is about the practical application of criteria, style and culture of UIC Barcelona for the organization of PREMIS IMMA. Also procedures and guidance of the professors and of the academic and non-academic professionals will be respected by the student. Students working individually and in group will be rigorous, creative and knowledgeable. The final objective is the preparation and the execution of a real event: PREMIS IMMA 2019. If a student does not participate before, during and after the event, he or she will fail the subject.
This subject introduces the students in the field of Events Management and Protocol in general, and takes them to organize a practical event: PREMIS IMMA 2019.
No previous requisites are needed only being registered at the corresponding course.
Students should be able to:
-present a proposal for the creation of PREMIS IMMA, that will be taken to reality.
-learn how to be part of decision making, team-work, and participation in the workshops run by the Coordinator of PREMIS IMMA.
-defend and expose persuasively about events management.
-show his/her skills in group work.
-become familiar with documents, tools and procedures for the management of events.
-understand the relevance of security and contingencies in the events.
-distinguish between the different agents involved in a protocolary event; be capable of giving the person the proper treatment and place he/she deserves.
-apply properly the writing skills in protocol situations, according to different documents and targets
-LIVE EXPERIENCE DURING THE WHOLE PROCESS AND TEAMWORK DONE FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF THE PREMIS IMMA 2019.
-CAPACITY TO BRING TO REALITY THE ORGANIZATION OF AN ADVERTISING FESTIVAL, GUIDED BY A PROFESSIONAL.
-INCREASED SELF-CONFIDENCE WHEN ORGANIZING AN EVENT OR PROTOCOLARY ACTIVITY.
-EXPERIENCE FOR FUTURE TEAMWORK.
-TO BE ABLE TO APPLY THE PRACTICE DONE ON FUTURE PROJECTS.
-TP BE ABLE TO DISCOVER IF THIS FIELD LOOKS INTERESTING TO THE STUDENT AS A FUTURE PROFESSIONAL WAY OF LIVING
-OPEN NEW INTERESTS IN ORDER TO DEEPEN IN THE KNOWLEDGE AND APPLICATION OF THEM.
-DISCOVER PERSONAL AND "PROFESSIONAL" STRENGHTS AND CHALLENGES.
This Workshop will introduce the student into the knowledge and practice of the different tips, criteria and decision making strategies regarding the organization and the protocol of an event. The student will learn and experience about events management in general and the organization of PREMIS IMMA 2018, specifically.
Different people -both professors and personnel- will be involved in the preparation and production of the PREMIS IMMA 2018.
