Services of the Support Clinic

We offer individual psychological and psychiatric care to the entire population. Know what each of these services is about:

Psychology

As psychologists we understand people's personality traits, their social functioning and their intelligence. That enables us to know if what you are experiencing is part of your personality, is a reaction to something in your environment or is a mental disorder. This way, we can help you to learn to changes aspects of your own behaviour, thoughts and emotions in order to deal better with your feelings.

Psychiatry

Psychiatrists are specialised in the working of the brain, whether it is something biological and inherited, or when its development is affected by our life experiences or by toxins. We understand mental disorders, we diagnose them and we know the drugs to help reduce your suffering, when this is due to a mental disorder.

Workshop

At Support, we offer a variety of different thematic workshops with the aim of providing resources to promote healthy habits, both for individuals and families, and in the context of organisations. We also offer workshops to provide accompaniment for various personal situations.

Psychometric Tests

Psychodiagnosis of learning disorders, behavioural changes, autism spectrum disorders, etc. in children and adolescents.

The assessments performed at the Support University Psychology and Psychiatry Clinic consist of a series of evidence-based tests aimed at evaluating the difficulties presented by the children.

The following is a list of the various tests performed at the Clinic:

  • WISC-V, which measures a child’s intellectual ability.
  • PROLEC-R, which determines whether a child has reading difficulties.
  • PROESC, which assesses writing difficulties.
  • ITPA, which confirms whether a child has language difficulties.
  • D2, which assesses whether a child has attention difficulties.
  • FACES-R, which evaluates attention and perception difficulties.
  • CDI, which determines whether a child presents symptoms of depression.
  • STAIC, which assesses symptoms of anxiety.
  • MACI, which assesses whether an adolescent has maladaptive personality traits.
  • SCL-90-R, which assesses psychopathology in general.
  • TAMAI, which assesses child adaptation in several areas.
  • ADOS-2 and ADI-R, which diagnose autism spectrum disorders.

These tests are used in conjunction with clinical interviews to accurately determine the difficulties presented by each patient.

They are usually performed as part of a session that lasts one and a half hours. Depending on the test or series of tests being administered, the patient will be asked to come to one or more sessions. Following the psychometric test, the practitioner will write up a report to inform the family of the results.
