Course on Diacutaneous Fibrolysis: Kurt-Ekman Method
Module 1
- Presentation of the course, objectives and content:
- Introduction to Diacutaneous Fibrolysis.
- Indications and contraindications of Diacutaneous Fibrolysis.
- Application techniques: Classic “hooking” technique, vertical traction, “star” technique, inverted technique and periosteal scratching.
- Effects: Mechanical, circulatory, neurophysiological.
- Soft tissue dysfunction: Contractile and non-contractile dysfunction. Clinical characteristics, assessment and treatment approach, accessory motion and connective tissue dysfunction.
- Evaluation of the dysfunction:
- Symptom location test.
- Muscle length, muscle extensibility and compartment test.
- Points of maximum tension.
- Strength test.
- Practical application on the lower limb.
