In the online part of the course classes are dynamic and interactive, and students acquire knowledge that they can put into immediate practice. Professors use case methods as teaching tools, which is the most effective means of improving analytical and decision-making skills. The database available on the postgraduate course is one of the largest in the academic world in terms of dental and maxillofacial examinations, covering all dental specialities and a number of related medical specialities. Students must have a high-speed internet connection, a computer with a suitable graphics card, a microphone and a webcam.
The teaching methodology used in the learning process for each Unit is varied, as long as it achieves the objectives of acquiring the required skills, and may can include:
— Practical activities: technical development, radiographic and imaging interpretation, team-building activities.

During the face-to-face week:
— Participation in sessions at the UCD, multidisciplinary sessions, offering support at the dental clinic for radiological evaluations.
— Carrying out radiological diagnosis on real patient cases.
— Participation in seminars on the subjects dealt with in the clinic.
