Clinical Internships in Periodontics
At the start of the postgraduate degree, in addition to the equipment indicated by the Periodontics department, students will need to bring:
- A digital camera (Nikon/Canon) with a macro lens and ring flash. If students have any questions, they should speak to the programme coordinator, Lucía Barallat.
- Occlusal and lateral mirrors for taking intraoral photographs.
- Laptop and cables to project presentations onto a screen.
- Rotary instruments: dental turbine, adaptor, contra angle and handpiece. Equipment should be compatible with Kavo, Bien Air and NSK. If students have equipment from a different brand, they should speak with the programme coordinator.
- Intraoral dental X-rays. Recommended brand: Planmeca Proscanner (size 2)
- Magnifying lenses (optional)

* If students do not have a surgical instrument box or magnifying lenses, we offer the possibility of purchasing them at the start of the year along with first-year students from the Master’s Degree in Periodontics.
To access the CUO, the student must bring:
— Personal protection face screen
— Full protection glasses, except in the case of wearing corrective glasses or magnifying glasses. In this case the full protection glasses are not necessary. All other material of special protection will be provided by the clinic.
