Clinical Internships in Oral Prosthetics
Students on the Clinical Residency in Prosthetics must have the following equipment for the first day of the course:
- In order to present clinical cases, students must have a laptop computer with Powerpoint or Keynote installed.
- Digital reflex camera with macro lens and ring flash, twin flash or similar mirrorless flash
- Set of mirrors and contraster (black background) for intraoral photography
- 2 Phosphor imaging plates for a radiography system compatible with the UDC
- 1 Lecron spatula
- Large dental mouth openers and separators
- Small dental mouth openers and separators
- 3 examination kits:
- 1 mirror
- 1 set of tweezers
- 1 periodontal examination probe
- Surgical mallet
- Cement spatula
- Retraction thread spatula
- Composite spatulas
- Wax spatula
- Alginate cup and spatula
- Plaster cup and spatula
- Callipers
- 2 Uniject anaesthetic syringes
- 1 pair of mosquito tweezers
- 1 pair of Kohler tweezers
- 1 straight pair of scissors
- Artex semi adjustable articulator
- Dental turbine

To access the CUO, the student must bring:
— Personal protection face screen
— Full protection glasses, except in the case of wearing corrective glasses or magnifying glasses. In this case the full protection glasses are not necessary. All other material of special protection will be provided by the clinic.
