The course will be primarily practical. Each practical session will be preceded by a theoretical session, based on the literature, that will explain the practice to be carried out.

Basic concepts of colour in dentistry:
- Hue, value and chroma. How can we apply these concepts to teeth whitening?
- Current methods of colour assessment in teeth whitening.
- Specialised colour guides.
- Spectrophotometry.
- Using apps as a means of communicating colours with the patient.
Practicum
- Photographic record using a mobile and the MDP for lighting.
- Colour assessment and recording using specialised guides.
- Colour assessment and recording using the spectrophotometer.
- Using the app to assess the colour and inform the patient.
Saturday
Theory
Basic concepts in teeth whitening:
- Assessment, diagnosis, prognosis of clinical cases.
- Absolute and relative isolation. Advantages and disadvantages.
- Types of whitening:
- In-clinic teeth whitening.
- At-home teeth whitening.
- Root canal tooth whitening.
Practicum
Practice on models regarding the protocols for application of:
- In-clinic teeth whitening.
- At-home teeth whitening.
