Lebanon is a country amid complex social and economic circumstances, which are further aggravated by the arrival of more than a million refugees over the past few years, according to ACNUR. Despite the current situation, the country continues to admit refugees into cities where people are living in highly unfavourable conditions.
In July last year, 22 volunteers went on a charitable trip to Lebanon and in July 2020, we’re going back! Will you join the cause?
The aim of the project is to help children in need between five and ten years old by organising activities, playing games with the children at Paradís d’Enfant primary school (Jounieh) and visiting refugee families, not to mention sharing this profound experience with other university students from different degree programmes.
You’ll also have the chance to see more of the country by visiting other cities such as Tyre, Sidon, Byblos, Beirut.
Organised by: UIC Barcelona and CMU Barcelona in cooperation with An Nawras (local cultural association in Lebanon).
