The VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) business environment that characterizes today’s marketplace demands the rapid delivery of high-quality and innovative solutions (all at once) that are able to fulfil customers’ requirements. Within this context, the ultimate goal of this research group is to asses and help organizations, particularly those operating in the service sector, to achieve a more consolidated position in the marketplace.
Our Quality & Innovation for Service Excellence (QISE) research group aims to consolidate the three research areas in which we have been working for the past 10 years:
Quality management
Innovation management
Knowledge creation and knowledge transfer
Our researchers have a solid background in these areas as can be inferred from the number of publications and other research outputs achieved. In recent years we have begun to find synergies between these three lines of research. Although the three topics may apparently seem unrelated, they in fact complement each other. Indeed, they refer to the three necessary assets companies should take care of in order to achieve a competitive advantage.
