GRC - Research Group in Directing organisations in the 21st century
The main objective of the Directing organisations in the 21st century (DOS-XXI) research group is to study, revise and propose new models for business leadership and decision-making in companies, taking into account the new challenges it has to face today, such as for example recognising that responses must be based on various scientific contributions. In that way the idea is to manage to organise the economic and ethical aspects of the system of government in organisations.
In total the members of the group have produced significant publications, of which many are articles in high-impact factor journals and other are books or chapters in prestigious editorials. Many of these publications are the result of completed doctoral theses. Many contributions have been made at important scientific conferences and, as well as various events and seminars, international symposiums have been organised with prestigious academics and businesspeople, via competitive “calls for papers” and compendium publications. The Group has also set up knowledge transfer projects through contracts with companies and an Industrial Doctorate project.
The specific scientific objectives of the group are:
To revise the behavioural models that are at the heart of business leadership.
To develop new models for decision-making.
To study new ways to exercise authority and leadership.
To analyse the links between ethics and economics, companies and governance.
