Limited Places

What?

A semester-long course consisting of 30 on-site hours and 60 hours of online work (5 ECTS) in which you will develop the basic communication tools necessary to express yourself simply in familiar settings.

Who?

All members of the university community (students, PAS and PDI) and External students

How?

A semester-long blended-learning course (30 on-site hours + 60 online hours)

Where and when?


1st semester

Campus Barcelona, 14 October to 2 December, Monday and Wednesday, 4-6 p.m.
Campus Sant Cugat, 13 October to 1 December, Tuesday and Thursday, 3-5 p.m.

2nd semester

Campus Barcelona:

  • 15 February to 3 May, Monday and Wednesday, 2.30-4 p.m. 
  • 15 February to 3 May, Monday and Wednesday, 5-7 p.m

Campus Sant Cugat, 16 February to 15 April, Tuesday and Thursday, 3-5 p.m.

Price

  • Erasmus students: €300*
  • UIC Barcelona students: €375
  • UIC Barcelona PDI and PAS: €75
  • External students: €450

* International students not participating in the Erasmus Programme are required to pay the same price as UIC Barcelona students

Certification

Certificate of attendance and completion and credit recognition. To earn a certificate, you must attend at least 80% of the on-site sessions, complete 80% of the online exercises and pass the final exam.

Credit recognition

This course has a workload of 5 ECTS credits. If you are a UIC Barcelona undergraduate student, you can request recognition of 2 ECTS credits for taking the course. If you are an Erasmus student, you can include this course in your learning agreement. For mobility students, the number of credits recognised for this course will depend on your home university.
