Mobility

Introduction

In fourth year, in the seventh semester, there is an opportunity for students to undertake study visits in universities with which a cooperation agreement has been signed:

  • Spanish universities with a Sèneca agreement
  • European universities with an Erasmus agreement
  • International universities with a bilateral agreement (without grants)

In fourth year, in the eighth semester, there is an opportunity for students to undertake work experience in universities with which a cooperation agreement has been signed. These agreements are made between the Faculty of Education and the schools, or through the International Relations Service in the UIC.

If a student would like to apply to a school in Europe, then he or she can apply for an Erasmus Training grant, with European funding, through the UIC’s International Relations Service (Mónica Luque, mluque@uic.es). If the UIC is not assigned as many grants as it applies for, then they will be allocated according to the admission criteria described below. If the student chooses any of the other destinations offered by International Relations, he or she must still apply through them. If, on the other hand, the destination appears on the list held by the Work Placement Management Department, then the application must be sent to the Work Placement Management Department (practiques.edu@uic.es).

Students can request information about bilateral agreements in the International Relations Service and in the Work Placement Management Department.

Admission criteria

Students who would like to apply for a grant to undertake part of their studies abroad will have to fill in the corresponding application and follow the procedure described in the information sessions. In all cases the places will be distributed according to the following criteria:

  • Level of fluency in the language of instruction of the university or centre equivalent to B2 or C1 (English-speaking countries) according to the criteria of the host institution. It is necessary to present an official certificate as accreditation.
  • The average mark from your academic record.
  • A personal interview.
  • Other merits will also be taken into consideration.
  • When allocating places for a study visit to English-speaking countries, students taking a specialisation in English will be given priority, ahead of other students.

* Any extracurricular experience will be valued, as well as any other complementary education. Applying for a place does not automatically lead to obtaining it.
