Paediatric Dentistry

Paediatric Dentistry is the branch of dentistry that involves preventing and treating oral health problems from early childhood to late adolescence. Paediatric dentists examine the child's oral cavity in order to detect any anomalies and apply personalised procedures and treatment.

Nowadays, it is recommended that children see a paediatric dentist after they get their first tooth (around 6 months). This initial check-up at an early age is important to be able to offer advice on prevention and diagnose any anomalies as far as possible, helping to avoid future problems.

The University Dental Clinic has the latest technology and the most innovative therapies to offer advanced and highly specialised treatment for children. These actions to ensure good oral health can help avoid dental problems later in life.
