Filmmaking

With the aim of ensuring that Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communication students can put into practice what they have learned in the classroom, the Faculty of Communication Sciences organised an extracurricular activity called “Filmmaking” (formerly known as Remaking). After analysing a complex cinematographic sequence, students must plan and undertake a film shoot that achieves the same camera angles and creates the same impact on spectators.

The technical team (director, director of photography, wardrobe etc.) and the artistic team (actors and extras) are all students.

Filmmaking is an excellent opportunity for students to learn at first-hand about what production and filming involves, as well as develop the skills they will need to learn so they can work in a team.

Filmmaking 2020

In the fifth edition of this initiative, our students will once again step into the shoes of directors, producers, camerapeople, etc. and shoot some of the most iconic scenes from major television and film productions. Geoffrey Cowper, a lecturer at UIC Barcelona and cinema director, is responsible for coordinating this year's edition.

The films chosen to be remade this year are Donnie Darko, How I met your Mother y Joker. You will have the opportunity to watch them all at an event that is due to take place on 29th September, at 3.30 p.m. in UIC Barcelona’s Aula Jardí.

We look forward to seeing you there!
