The Faculty of Education is currently immersed in the accreditation process for its Bachelor's Degree in Pre-Primary Education, the Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education and the University Master's Degree in Educational Psychology. This process is outlined in the Framework for the Verification, Monitoring, Modification and Accreditation of official degree programmes (MVSMA) established by the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU).

On 23 and 25 November, an External Assessment Committee, comprising members of AQU Catalunya, will meet with representatives from interest groups involved in the degree programmes in order to assess their development in situ. In line with the protocols approved by AQU Catalunya in view of the repercussions of the COVID-19 outbreak, the visit will be held online.

The accreditation visit has the following objectives:
  • to ensure the quality of the academic programmes offered, according to the levels of qualification established and the criteria of the regulations in force.
  • to guarantee that there is viable and reliable information that aids users of the university system in their decision-making, and
  • to facilitate the internal quality improvement processes and services developed for Catalan universities.
The autonomous report carried out and presented as part of the accreditation process will be made available to the wider educational community on UIC Barcelona's Educational quality webpage. Anyone wishing to view the report, and if they so wish, comment upon it, may do so. Comments should be sent to the following email address: siqe@uic.es.

Also, due to the online nature of the accreditation visits, AQU Catalunya has provided the following email address for use by the whole university community: acreditación@aqu.cat, so that any member may comment on the development of the degree programmes they consider appropriate.
