Admission Application Form

Complete application

Students over 25 and over 45

All universities in Catalonia apply the same entrance policies for students over 25 and 45 years of age. The only difference is that they need to enrol at the site of their intended place of study – in this case, the UIC – which will administer the relevant entrance exams

Requirements

Applicants over 25 may take entrance exams at the University as long as they:

  • Are 25 as of 1 October 2015
  • Have not passed the PAU exam

Applicants over 45 may take entrance exams at the University as long as they:

  • Are 45 as of 1 October 2015
  • Hold no diploma or certificate granting them university access

Enrolment

Candidates who wish to take entrance exams at the International University of Catalonia in order to finalise their enrolment process must take the following steps:

  • Complete the online application.
  • Provide the UIC admissions office with the following documents:
    • Two passport sized photos
    • Photocopy of their DNI (National Identity Document) or passport
    • Receipt of non-refundable €100 processing fee.
    • Copy of general UIC admission policies and course reservations (see below)
    • Specific exam document (see below).
    • Photocopy of most recent academic studies (EGB, BUP, COU, FP, etc.)
    • Current CV
    • For Nursing applicants working at health centres affiliated with the UIC, current employment history

Upon handing in the specific exam documents, candidates over 25 will need to specify:

  • The foreign language they wish to be tested in (they can choose between English, French, German, Italian or Portuguese).
  • Entrance options: Arts and humanities, Sciences, Health sciences, Social and legal sciences or Engineering and architecture.
  • Two subjects within the selected entrance area.

Applicants who have completed these steps satisfactorily may register at the UIC for the subjects which they have selected.

Important dates

  • Enrolment: January to 2 March.
  • Exams:
    • 18 April:  for applicants 25  and over (general exam) and 45  and over (single exam).
    • 25 May: for applicants 25 and over (specific exam).

Results

Available from 20 may  (over the telephone from the UIC).

Applicants who have passed the University entrance exams for candidates over 45 will be invited for a personal interview.

For further information on University admission procedures, and exam subjects and formats for candidates over 25 and 45, please consult the Department of Universities, Research and the Information Society (DURSI).

Students 25 and 45 plus use the same online application to register for University entrance exams and to apply for a place on the relevant course. They pay one single fee, which will cover both exams, where applicable. (Certain programmes require that candidates over 25 and 45 pass not only the standardised entrance exams, but also that they obtain satisfactory marks in other exams which are specific to the UIC.)
